Global goals
The Global Goals for Sustainable Development, Agenda 2030, are 17 goals and 169 sub-goals developed and adopted by the UN aimed at long-term sustainable economic, social and environmental development. Extreme poverty must be eliminated, inequalities and justice must be reduced, peace and justice must be promoted and the climate crisis resolved by 2030. Södertälje municipality's sustainability work is based on the global sustainability goals and the work to achieve them is an important part of the development.
